Plans for the church in Guinea-Bissau
Thanks to all of you Elder Douglas, Elders Nsawame Road Con, Elders and the entire brethren to West Side congratulation for the wonderful support you continue to give me.
This August make the third year since you started supporting me and coming October will the third year since my wife Julie and I arrived in Guinea Bissau to start the work as a Missionary.
We appreciate you so much for everything you have done for us, and we say thanks once again. I made up my mind to stay for five years but now there is a change of mind due to the impact l want to make. If it is the will of God l will like to continue the work for the next ten (10) years making thirteen years in all.
These are my reasons. I want make a great impact, l believe that is why God brought me here by your help. For that to come true, l have these three projects in mind:
1. Radio and T V broadcasting
These are the means by which the whole country will get to hear and know about Christ and his church.
2. Start a Bible School to train manpower resources to maintain the congregations we will start.
I have started on a pilot biases a leadership training on Sundays to see the interest of the brethren. The first Sunday we had three (3) attending, the second Sunday we had ten (10) brethren attending. I want to see how it goes for the next three months and then know how to program things. I will then inform all of you how l will like to proceed with this.
3. A Children's Home
It is very important to start a children's home to train some of the children in the church who's parents are not able to take care of them . As at now I give breakfast to sixteen (16) of the children in the church, l pay school fees for same of them. Most of them do not know how to do house chores it is on Sundays l teach some to petty house chores. Children deserve to be trained and treated well and when they grow they will not depart from that as the Bible encourages. They will become the future of the Church in Guinea Bissau.
These are my plans for the Church of Christ for this country.
Thanks to all
