July and August 2024
Dear Brethren,
Grace and peace from God our Father and from the Lord Jesus Christ be with you. Here is a quick update about my work for the months of July and August 2024.
REGGIO EMILIA:
The church in Reggio Emilia, Italy has purchased a meeting place with the help of some nearby congregation. Though the church started using the facility in August, an inauguration ceremony is scheduled for the 1st of November as they host the Annual Bible Lectureship of the churches in Northern Italy.
COLLABORATION WITH CHURCHES IN GERMANY:
The churches in Flensburg, Hamburg, Hannover, Bremen, Darmstadt and Dusseldorf have been chosen to host the 2026 European Bible Lectureship. The event could be held in any of the above-mentioned cities or any facility close to any of these cities.
We planned to organized a one-day youth program on the 15th of September at Hannover, but a couple of weeks ago we postponed it to next year. We will make it a two-day program for Saturday the 19th and Sunday the 20th of April 2025. It will be a pilot program for the 2026 European Bible Lectureship.
MARRIED AND SINGLES FORUM:
Our third edition of the Married and Singles forum which is held on every fifth Saturday took place on 31st August. As usual the two marriage counsellors whom I call on for support from Ghana were available to speak. Brother Bernard of Tema Vertical Centre spoke to the married group while Brother Abraham Afrane of Kumasi spoke to the singles group. This program is always done virtually in order for many people to benefit from it.
VISITATION:
Stella and I visited Sister Martha, one of our new members who lives with her brother in Mulheim. We invited two of the brethren who are studying in Germany to spend weekends with us. Brother Grant, from the 2nd to the 4th of August, and Brother Robert, from the 23rd to the 25th of August.
NEW MEMBERS FROM GHANA:
In July, we had two new members, Brother Eric was originally from the Lord’s church in Kumasi, Ghana; but had been living in a small town in Germany for about five years and had not found the church until he moved to Oberhausen and started worshipping with us.
Brother Anthony Arthur, also who was a member of the Lago Patria moved to Duisburg in June and started worshipping with us in July.
SUMMER PICNIC:
The Dusseldorf church had a summer picnic on 24th August at a park in Essen, 15 minutes’ drive from our resident. Below are some pictures.
FAMILY:
Stella and I are currently in good health. Please continue to pray for us. Until our next Newsletter for September/October.
Stay Blessed,
Eddie, Stella and Esther Dadzie.
