May and June 2024
Dear Brethren,
Grace and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ be with you. Here is a quick update about my work for May and June 2024.
STOCKHOLM
The Church in Stockholm organized its 3rd Virtual Bible lectureship on the evening of 22nd and 23rd June. The theme was; “The Hope of Heaven". Topics were: 1) Is Heaven Real? 2) Heaven Our Inheritance 3) Why Not All Will Inherit Heaven. I invited Brother Nicholas Mensah of Maryland and Brother Edward Amihere of Takoradi, Ghana as speakers while I did the moderation. Since the program was virtual, we had many brethren join from across Europe, Ghana, U.S.A. Canada and the Middle East.
COLLABORATION WITH CHURCHES IN GERMANY:
While in Italy, I was able to form a collaboration among ten churches through which we were able to organize many Bible lectureships and women's conferences at various congregations and we planted two Churches. Through this collaboration, we were also able to assist Verona in purchasing a meeting place.
I have called similar meetings of church leaders in Germany from Flensburg, Hamburg, Hannover, Bremen, Darmstadt, and Dusseldorf. I have yet to get participants from Berlin. Most of the Churches in Germany are struggling because they don’t have trained men who can offer spiritual leadership.
We have so far had two meetings. During the very first meeting, the brethren unanimously accepted my proposal to organize projects with joy. I have teaching and preaching assignments with Dusseldorf and Stockholm up to the end of October after which I will be able to visit some of these Churches, Lord willing, before the end of the year. Meanwhile, we have agreed to bid for the hosting of the annual European Bible Lectureship for 2026 here in Germany.
MARRIED AND SINGLES FORUM:
For a program of the Dusseldorf Church for 2024, we have a Married and Singles Forum in every quarter. This forum is held on every fifth Saturday of the month with five Saturdays, so the second one came off on 29th June. So that many people can benefit from this rich program, we do this also virtually.
VISITATION
I visited church families and individual brethren living in Dortmund, Mulheim, and Oberhausen to understand their challenges and encourage them.
